Long Time

It has been so long since I have posted. Part of it is because out computer was down, forever. But now it is back. I have a hard time finding time to do this.
We are all very excited about the upcoming holidays. We have our Christmas decor all up. Even our upstairs tree! Looking forward to Black Friday, that is a holiday itself.
Keegan will be 5 soon. Planning a crazy fun birthday party at the Treehouse in Chelsea. It is so hard to believe that 5 years have passed by so fast.
I will try not to wait so long before I post again.

August 2009

Wow, August has come and went, and I have not posted a thing. Here is what has been going on.

We went to the Yogi Bear campground in Fremont. It was wonderful. It was 90 out all weekend so we soaked up the rays. Keegan really enjoyed it. That is one busy place.

We played family BINGO one night. We even won $6!

Keegan learned to ride her bike with no training wheels. She is a pro now. We started on a Thursday night and she was good to go with no help by Saturday. Now she rides her bike alongside me while I go running. It makes me have to work out extra hard cuz she rides a little faster than I would typically run.

For me and Chad's 6th wedding anniversary we got Kathy to come watch Keegan and Sophia and we took off to the new casino with Nikki and Jeff. We got there around 11:00 pm and got home @ 3:00 am. It was a blast. We all lost except for Chad, now we have the urge to go back and win some of our money back:)

Spotted this truck on the way to Toledo.

We went to Toledo to visit our friend Sara and her kids, Kennedy and Tess, with Sharon. Shewas having a jewelry party. Keegan and Kennedy took to each other. It was alot of fun. We will have to visit again soon.

We were supposed to go camping over last weekend, but cancelled due to weather. We took the kids out fishing off the dock with the Mitchell's. It was very cold. Keegan caught 3 fish, but didn't like holding them. She said it bit her!

The girls had kareoke night. They were so cute. All they wanted to do was sing "The Climb"

Summer Vacation

Summer has been wonderful this year. We took a mini vaca last week, up to Wilderness State Park in Mackinaw. It was pretty cold when we got there, but eventually warmed up. While there we took a road trip to Petosky where we ate at Buffalo Wild Wings, hung out on the beach picking up rocks, and on the 4th we spent the day on the island. Here are a few pics from our trip.

We took our bikes to the island and rode all the way around. Keegan fell asleep in her cart.

This is our campsite when looking from the beach. We were so close to the beach you could hear the waves crashing at night. The tent is ours, not the big RV:) But the good news is we bought a new camper yesterday, and we pick it up on Tuesday. We are very excited. We will be camping in our driveway next weekend if anyone wants to join:)

Brrr....

Fun times, so relaxing. We have all been in such good moods since being home.

Garage Sale

Over the weekend we had a huge garage sale. We got rid of all the baby toys and clothes as well as other junk laying around the house. We did much better that we expected. Almost got rid of everything. So after the sale we were off to the toy store so Keegan could pick out something new, since most of the stuff was hers that she got rid of. She ended up picking out a new Cadillac Escalade Power Wheels. It is so her! And she loves it. After Chad got it put together she spent the next 3 hours putting her purse and her babies in it. She couldn't ride it til Sunday. Watch out when she turns 16, she is a crazy driver.
With some of our other garage sale earnings we picked up one of those pull behind carts for our bikes. We should have done it a long time ago. Now we can go on long bike rides and we are looking forward to taking our bikes up to Mackinaw Island for the 4th and riding all over the island. Last night we even rode to the Dairy Queen for ice cream:)

Camping over Memorial Day Weekend

Over the weekend we went camping with the Mitchell's at PJ Hoffmaster State Park in Muskegon. We had a wonderful time. We did alot of riding bikes, hiking to the beach, and laying out on the beach. The crazy kids even got in the 50 degree water, brrrr. Allergies hit Keegan like a ton of bricks on Sunday, poor thing. We ended our weekend trip in Grand Haven where we walked the pier and had a really nice lunch. Thanks to the Mitchell's for inviting us along:)

April Fun

So far this month we have had alot of fun. The nice weather has helped out alot. This past weekend we had a trailer of dirt for a project Chad was working on around the yard. Well, the rain came thru and turned it to mud. I convinced Keegan to put on her swimsuit and go play in it. She was a little hesitant at first, but then had a ball. She then proceeded to play in the mud puddles. I had to spray her down with the hose when she was finished. She loved it.

Then a couple weekends ago, both my sisters and Anet's boyfriend Mark came over for a cookout. Mark cooked most of the food and it was great. Chad and Mark had their paintball guns out and decided to give Kathy's car a new paintjob:)

Keegan also had her first real sleepover with her best friend Sophia. She asked Keegan to stay at her house, Keegan wanted Sophia to stay at our house first. The girls had a blast. I did not have to entertain them at all, which was kinda weird, since I always have to find things for Keegan to do. In the morning I got brave and took them to Sam's and Meijer. They were so good. This past weekend, Sophia asked Keegan to stay at her house. Keegan chickened out, but we hang out over there til 10:30ish. I think she might have done it had she not stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's the night before.

Also, last Friday Chad and I went to Brew and View with Dan and Ang and a couple of their friends. It was a good time. We hadn't been out in a while.

Spring School Photo

This is the spring school photo Keegan had done. I wasn't planning on buying the pics until I saw how great it turned out. I can't believe my baby is getting so big!

Tonight, Keegan is having her first friend sleepover. Sophia is gonna stay the night. She asked Keegan to stay at her house, but Keegan didn't want to, she was nervous. So we are gonna start with Sophia staying here and next time Keegan can stay with Sophia. I think I am crazy, two 4 year olds!
