Holiday Break

I have been home from work since last week, spending time with Keegan and catching up around the house. Friday night, Nicki and Jeff came over with the kids, Chad and Jeff went ice fishing, and Nicki and I stayed at the house with the kids. The kids had a blast playing and we looked thru photo albums and year books. Saturday, Chad and I had date night, we went to Outback and then to a movie, which we have not done in years. The last movie we saw was Horton Hears a Who. We saw The Curious Case on Benjamin Button, excellent movie. Oh and did I say Brat Pitt is HOT! Then Sunday, I don't really think we did a whole lot of anything. Monday, Keegan and I set our for lunch with Chad, then hit the Victoria's Secret Sale, then went to the library. I don't even have a library card, so Keegan and I both got one. She got 4 books and I got 3. Mine are about art, as I am trying to get back into painting. Then on Tuesday, Keegan and I hit the bowling alley. Aunt Karen called shortly before we were leaving, so she met us there. It was alot of fun. We bowled one game and Keegan is finally big enough to do it herself. She got a 65, with bumpers. Other than that, we got all the Christmas stuff taken down, all the Christmas toys put away, and got the house a good cleaning. Tonight we are headed to Dan and Ang's, then to the Saving Abel concert. I wish everyone a safe and happy New Year!
XOXO

Christmas, 1 Day to go!

We are gearing up for the start of our Christmas. Already tonight, Keegan had a hard time going to bed, knowing that Santa was coming soon. She made him a present and put it under the tree.
Tomorrow is the beginning of it all. We will be making goodies during the day, followed by Church at 4:30, then Christmas with my family at 6:00, then jammies and a car ride to look at Christmas lights. Then Christmas day we will spend the morning opening gifts as a family, then we will head to Chad's parents for Christmas with them and Marc, Kristy, and Alex with Chad's grandparents coming later on. It should be a fun filled couple of days. I hope everyone has a safe and Merry Christmas! Heather

Keegan's Birth "Week" Celebration

After a weekend long celebration of Keegan's 4th birthday, it is finally over. She had her family party yesterday, and lunch with Aunt Net Net today, along with mommy and daddy's gifts.
She had a visit to the doctor for her 4 year check up, 5 shots, an ear infection, and 2 hours later we were finally on our way home, Happy Birthday Keegan! She has never had an ear infection before and she hasn't slept well the last few nights. This morning she told me her ear was burning and when the doctor looked at it, it was an infection. With medicine in her, hopefully she sleeps well tonight, as I feel like I am coming down with something. My head is pounding. Back to work tomorrow for a couple of days, and then off for a few more:) I love the holidays. That is all for now, Gossip Girl is about to start!

Keegan's Birthday Party #1 - Friends

Today Keegan had her first birthday party with friends. She had 6 friends over to celebrate. It was absolutely crazy. She had a blast though. She was out by 7:15!
Tomorrow is the family party and Monday is her actual birthday.
It is crazy how fast the past 4 years have went by.
Happy Birthday Keegan.

Flu Days

So, my day started out this morning by Keegan getting sick. She said it was the smell of my coffee. Chad and I wrote it off as one of her tricks to get out of doing something or that she was having anxiety about something. Well, a little while later, she did it again. Again, we thought she was up to the same thing. After a bath and off the grandma's I continued on to work. Around noon Grandma called me and said Keegan's belly hurt and she was taking a nap. Huh, Keegan never takes a nap. A few minutes later she woke up sick again. I came home from work in tear, my poor baby is sick and I thought she was up to something, I feel so bad. I found out my doc was out of town for the week so off to Express Care we went. 2 hours later and a shot for the nasea, we confirmed the flu. On the way home she wanted McDonald's for lunch. I had to explain to her that was not good. She was pretty upset. She had a little soup and now she is napping. We hope she feels better soon.

Thanksgiving Weekend

What a busy weekend, started off by going to Keegan's finger food feast at preschool.
The little 3 and 4 year olds are so cute.
Keegan had fun, and she loves when I get to go to school with her.

Then no more than I got out of work, Chad and I headed to the Red Wings Game.
That was a fun thing to do the night before Thanksgiving.
It was so busy.

We spent Thanksgiving day at Chad's family's house.
Keegan was so excited about Thanksgiving.
But, she did not like turkey or stuffing.
Needless to say, she ate corn and rolls for dinner.
Oh well.
We also celebrated Marc's birthday on Thanksgiving.
We won't say how old he is this year:)

Friday we spent ALL day shopping.
Keegan was such a good girl.
We went to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch and she thought that was cool.
Once again however, she ate a grilled cheese and smiley fries. No wings.
We told her when she turns 4 she has to eat what we eat.
I don't see that happening.

Then Saturday night we spent with my family.
My mom had the flu the day before Thanksgiving so we were giving her time to get better.
This is my Great Aunt Virginia.
When we were kids we adopted her as Grandma Virginia.
My Grandparents all passed away when I was very young.
I can barely remember them.

It was a fun weekend.
We can't wait for Christmas.

Busy Days

We have been so busy lately I haven't even had time to post.
Yes, we are crazy, we have our downstairs Christmas tree set up already.
We have not put out any decorations upstairs yet though.

This past Saturday, while the guys were all out hunting, my friend Nicki and I
took the kids, Keegan, Sophia, and Brandon to the outlet mall in Howell,
then to Jungle Java in Ann Arbor. The kids were so tired when we got home.
It didn't take Keegan long to go to sleep. However, she was so unsettled
when she went to bed, she had bad dreams. Not quite a night terror, she was
not screaming like she has in the past, but she was crying in her sleep.
Sunday, we rested alot.

As for ballet, she is loving it. She wakes up in the morning and asks if she gets to
go to ballet today. It is the cutest thing. Sophia is there too, but she takes tap in another
room, but Keegan gets to see her and that makes her happy:)

First School Picture

Here is Keegan's first school picture, preschool.
It turned out pretty good, she actually smiled, a little bit of a nervous smile, but it is a smile.
Today we are home sick, all them germy 3 year olds at school keep giving
her a cold. She is newly exposed to all these things and keeps catching them.
Seems like once a month we have a cold. We are going to see the doc soon though, she has a pretty good cough. She is happy to stay home from school today though:)

First Ballet Class

Keegan had her first ballet class tonight. We went and got her leotard and ballet shoes yesterday. She was a little nervous and teary eyed when we got there. She said she didn't like the ballet shoes. The teacher grabbed her and took her into the room. I got to watch thru a one way window. From the moment she got into class she was so interested and followed directions so good. Some of the girls were so naughty, but Keeg just followed right along with the teacher. The first week of the month the parents can watch. The recital is in May.

Keegan had fun Trick-or-Treating!
She wanted to hurry and go around the neighborhood
so she could go back to the house and hand out candy!

Keegan's Preschool Halloween Party

Today I got to go to Keegan's preschool for her Halloween Party.
Even though she cries everymorning when we drop her off,
she absolutely loves school!
It amazing how good she pays attention to her teachers!
